The Ubiquiti Wave-MLO5 is built for high-throughput wireless links over long distances. With dual 5 GHz radios and support for Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Link Operation, it delivers powerful and stable point-to-point performance, especially where bandwidth demand and range are critical. It works with existing UISP Wave or airMAX antennas and introduces future-ready features like channel puncturing and spectral scanning for better adaptability in noisy environments.
Dual-radio architecture enables simultaneous communication over separate links, increasing capacity and offering fallback in challenging signal environments. MLO allows both radios to act as one virtual connection, improving efficiency and data flow.
The Wave-MLO5 is tailored for rural wireless backhaul, bridging isolated facilities or powering high-bandwidth private links across large properties or campuses. With support for distances up to 100 km, it fills the gap where fiber is cost-prohibitive.
Features a quad-core 1.5 GHz IPQ5322 processor, 1 GB RAM, and a compact housing with waterproof RP-SMA antenna ports. Its two-radio build enables dynamic channel selection and real-time interference avoidance, improving overall traffic stability.
The unit pairs with the UISP platform for remote visibility, alignment tools, diagnostics, and firmware updates. It currently supports point-to-point mode with point-to-multipoint capability on the roadmap via future firmware updates.
