The Net Power series uses automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and EMI filtering to stabilise incoming mains power. This ensures connected devices are protected from fluctuations, spikes, and electrical disturbances before they reach critical systems.
When mains power fails, the UPS automatically switches to battery-backed inverter mode using a pseudo-sine wave output. This provides sufficient runtime for safe system shutdown or continued short-term operation.
USB and RS232 connectivity enable integration with PowerShield3 software, supporting multi-platform environments including Windows, Linux, macOS, VMware, and other enterprise systems. This ensures controlled shutdown and system protection during outages.
Built-in battery testing improves long-term reliability by monitoring performance and reducing failure risks. The UPS also automatically restarts once mains power is restored, ensuring seamless recovery without manual intervention.
The Cold Start feature allows the UPS to be powered on without mains electricity, providing emergency backup power even during complete grid failure situations.

Riello UPS models have always been compliant with the highest levels of efficiency in terms of energy protection and are classified according to a scale with 6 levels, corresponding with the efficiency value of the UPS with respect to the European Code of Conduct; this is known as the Eco Energy Level.
The Eco Energy Level system demonstrates how the most efficient UPS provide energy savings that allow the cost of their purchase to be recovered quickly compared to standard efficiency UPS , as well as how their use leads to significant reductions in carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
