The Sentinel Dual SDU 10000VA is designed to deliver uninterrupted, high-quality power for environments where downtime is not acceptable. Its double-conversion architecture ensures clean, stable output for servers, medical devices, and industrial systems.
This UPS supports both rackmount and tower configurations, allowing seamless integration into data centres, server rooms, and edge installations. Its compact yet powerful design makes it adaptable to a wide range of infrastructure layouts.
The system supports parallel operation of up to three units, enabling users to scale capacity or build redundancy into their power architecture. This makes it suitable for growing IT environments and high-availability systems.
Operating at up to 95% efficiency in ONLINE mode, the SDU reduces energy loss while maintaining continuous double-conversion protection. This ensures both performance and operational cost efficiency in demanding environments.
Hot-swap battery technology allows maintenance or replacement without powering down connected equipment. This ensures continuous protection and simplifies service operations in critical environments.
The load-controlled fan system automatically adjusts speed based on demand, maintaining low noise levels while ensuring effective thermal management even under heavy load conditions.
A rotating LCD display provides real-time system status, including load and battery conditions. EnergyShare sockets allow prioritisation of essential equipment to extend runtime during power events.

This configuration ensures the operation of those emergency systems that require continuous, reliable and long-lasting power supply in the event of a mains power failure, such as emergency lighting, fire detection/ extinguishing systems and alarms. When the mains power supply fails, the inverter begins powering the loads with a progressive startup (Soft Start) in order to prevent overload.
Battery optimisation
The wide input voltage range and a high holdup time minimise battery usage and increase efficiency and battery life; for smaller power breaks, energy is drawn from a group of appropriately-sized capacitors.

10 A configurable IEC output sockets allow for runtime optimisation by programming the switching off of low priority loads on mains failure; alternatively, emergency loads that are normally not powered when mains is present can be activated.

Riello UPS models have always been compliant with the highest levels of efficiency in terms of energy protection and are classified according to a scale with 6 levels, corresponding with the efficiency value of the UPS with respect to the European Code of Conduct; this is known as the Eco Energy Level.
The Eco Energy Level system demonstrates how the most efficient UPS provide energy savings that allow the cost of their purchase to be recovered quickly compared to standard efficiency UPS , as well as how their use leads to significant reductions in carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
