The Netgear MSM4328F-100NES is a fully managed Layer 3 switch providing 24 1G/2.5G SFP ports and four combo 10GBASE-T copper and 10G SFP+ ports. It provides high-speed fibre connectivity, Layer 3 routing, Virtual Chassis stacking and advanced multicast features for professional AV and IT networks. The switch also supports NETGEAR AV OS, Engage Controller and SMPTE ST 2110 timing functions for compatible audio and video applications.
The switch provides 24 SFP ports supporting 1G and 2.5GBASE-X connectivity. These ports can be used with compatible SFP transceivers to provide fibre connections across a range of network distances and media types.
Four combo ports provide a choice of 10GBASE-T copper or 10GBASE-X SFP+ connectivity. This allows compatible copper or fibre interfaces to be used according to the requirements of the network installation.
Layer 3 functionality includes static, policy-based and dynamic routing. Virtual Chassis stacking provides non-stop forwarding and hitless failover, while the switch can be centrally managed using NETGEAR Engage Controller.
NETGEAR IGMP Plus and AV OS provide features for managing multicast traffic and professional AV networks. The switch also supports SMPTE ST 2110 Grand Master Clock and Boundary Clock functions for AES67 and ST2059-2 applications, along with AVB support.
A 240W internal power supply provides power for the switch, while a modular power supply slot supports 1+1 power redundancy. Compatible additional power supplies include the APS600Wv3, APS1200Wv2 and APS2000Wv2.
