The Netgear MD200-10000S is a Nighthawk Mobile Hotspot Cradle that provides USB-C power passthrough, wired Ethernet connectivity and active cooling for compatible Nighthawk mobile hotspots. It supports M3, M6, M6 Pro, M7, M7 Pro and M7 Ultra models with current firmware, allowing a compatible hotspot to operate as a wired network connection while remaining powered and cooled.
The cradle holds a compatible Nighthawk mobile hotspot while providing power and wired network connectivity. It can be used for charging and cooling during normal operation or configured for high-performance fixed use, making it suitable for locations where a mobile hotspot is used as a more permanent network connection.
Two RJ45 Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity with automatic 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1000Mbps negotiation. One port can provide a LAN connection while the WAN/LAN port can be used for additional networking functions, including a wired Internet connection for failover applications.
A USB Type-C connection supplies power to the cradle and passes power through to the compatible mobile hotspot. NETGEAR specifies USB Power Delivery 2.0 passthrough and recommends using a suitable power adapter and USB cable capable of providing sufficient power for charging and plugged-in operation.
An integrated cooling fan helps manage the temperature of the mobile hotspot during operation. This is particularly useful when the hotspot is being used for extended periods while connected to wired network equipment and external power.
Two openings allow external antenna cables to pass through the cradle, providing a convenient way to connect compatible external antennas without removing the hotspot from its cradle position.
