Excel 6 Port Screened Category 6A Modules offer a flexible and quick way to terminate and install structured cabling. Manufactured from die-cast metal the modules use IDC punch downs for the termination of the copper cables.
The incoming cables are secured in place with clamps that bond the screen to the module. The design of the module ensures that screening is provided between ports. After termination, the module is simply fitted to one of the compatible Excel Mixed Use Patch Panels permitting different categories of Fibre and Copper to be presented on the same panel.
The modules are easily fitted and removed from the rear of the patch panel by activating release latches.
The Excel Screened Category 6A Module has been independently verified by Delta confirming the component level performance of the product.
Excel Category 6 data outlets are manufactured and tested to the Category 6 performance standards. A range of performance characteristics are tested up to 250MHz including return loss, attenuation and near and far-end crosstalk (NEXT and FEXT) for which both worst case and power sum tests are completed. Actual performance far exceeds the required standard - when tested in isolation and in-circuit - resulting in significant headroom for even the most demanding of applications.
As well as providing link and channel compliance - when installed with Excel category 6 components - with the aforementioned specification - the outlet is also backward compatible with Category 5 and 5e components.
