The Allied Telesis AT-GS980MX/28PSM-30 is a high-performance, rack-mountable Layer 3 Lite managed switch designed for scalable, high-speed network edge deployments. The AT-GS980MX/28PSM-30 delivers a flexible port configuration with twenty Gigabit PoE+ ports and four Multi-Gigabit PoE+ ports supporting speeds up to 5Gbps. Using Allied Telesis Virtual Chassis Stacking (VCStack™), up to four GS980MX switches can be combined into a single logical unit. This simplifies management, improves resiliency with fast failover, and enables seamless network expansion while maintaining consistent configuration.
The AT-GS980MX/28PSM-30 supports Layer 3 Lite features including static routing, RIP for IPv4 and IPv6, and Equal Cost Multi-Path (ECMP) routing. These capabilities allow efficient traffic segmentation and routing at the network edge without the complexity of full core routing platforms.
