With the rapid rate that mult-gigabit internet plans are being released, the WiFi technology is struggling to keep up.
Within 8 years, WiFi 5, WiFi 6, and WiFi 6e came out in quick succession to meet the growing internet requirements, but this still isn’t enough.
Now, two years past the release of WiFi 6e, we are already in need of a new WiFi update.
Introducing WiFi 7!
What is WiFi 7?
A major evolution to its predecessor, WiFi 7, or IEEE 802.11be, represents a revolutionary change. With faster speeds, lower latency, and signficantly higher capacity, WiFi 7 will make true multi-gigabit WiFi throughout the home a reality.
What’s new in the WiFi 7 Standard?
- 46Gbps – 4.8x faster speed
- Up to 2.4x Faster for the same WiFi configuration
- 320MHz – 2x bandwidth
- 4096 QAM – X data density
Why are NETGEAR the leaders in WiFi 7?
With 25 years experience across home, business, mesh, and mobile 5G networking, NETGEAR have gained a deep understanding of the technologies used when it comes to WiFi 7.
Key Features and Benefits
5x Faster SpeedsCompared to WiFi 6E, the maximum speeds have risen from 9.6 Gbps to 46 Gbps. |
2x Maximum BandwidthNew ultra-wide bandwidth gives your devices twice their normal speed. |
100x Lower LatencyExperience dramatic upgrades to online interactive experience with real-time responsiveness. |
20% More Data Transmission4K QAM modulation improves the processing rate of converting data into WiFi radio waves. |
WiFi 7 – New Innovations
Multi-Link Operation
WiFi 7 is able to tap into 6GHz, 5Ghz, and 2.4GHz WiFi bands to automatically change lanes to avoid network traffic and keep you connected.
Ensure your data is delivered with reduced latency, improved reliabiliy and maxiumum speeds.
Preamble Puncturing
Did you know that with past WiFi generations your neighbours’ WiFi could slow down your network? Currently, any channels with interference from other networks become unavailable.
Preamble Puncturing enables your WiFi to slice off part of a channel to transmit your data.
Simply put, WiFi 7 can allow you to ‘block off one lane’, keeping the rest of your channel free.
