Softing VFL5000 Fiber Optic Fault Locator

The new Softing VFL 5000 is a 635nm visible red laser, perfect for continuity testing and identifying splice faults or broken cores on any multimode or singlemode optical fibre.

Depending on the cable type, light can be transmitted over 5 km. A universal adapter enables the connection of all common 2.5 mm and 1.25mm connectors. Battery life in pulse mode is in excess of 40 hours.

The robust durable design and inbuilt dust cap ensures reliable operation in the harshest environments.

Applications

• To check singlemode/multi mode optical fibers and other fiber optic components on faults 
• Patching of fibers
