Geist accurate digital sensors measure temperatures of critical locations in a server room. Their compact size and weight makes them coveniently easy to install wherever needed. Geist climate monitors (with the exception of the micro unit) support up to 16 digital sensors with a maximum combined cable length of 200 metres.
With the addition of an encapsulating stainless steel sheath that has been sealed with waterproof heat shrink tubing. This will provide abrasion resistance and environmental protection against dust and moisture. This addition means the temperature sensor can carry an IP67 rating, allowing it to be used for applications such as cold storage and liquid temperature monitoring. The standard temperature probe measures 1.25 inches with 4 and 10 inch options available for submerging in water or glycol for liquid temperature monitoring.
Key Features:
Common Sensor Locations:
Digital Sensors:
The digital temperature sensor communicates with a Geist climate monitor through a serial protocol. When
the sensor is plugged into a digital sensor port, the monitor automatically detects and identifies it. Each
sensor is allocated a ‘friendly’ name for easy identification. The Geist climate monitor cycles through the digital
sensors to collect and log new readings. Custom alarms are triggered when a sensor value falls outside
a user-defined threshold, and can be sent through email or SNMP.
