Two prestigious design awards for TP-Link

TP-Link has been recognised twice in this year’s iF Design Awards.

Founded in 1953, the annual awards are widely accepted as the gold standard for good product design across a wide range of industries including automotive, furniture, jewellery, audio visual, as well as telecommunications and computer products.

This year’s awards attracted a huge amount of submissions, with 5,575 entries coming from companies in 59 countries.

TP-Link received honours for two products: the eight-pronged Archer C5400 router and the upcoming HD Day/Night Wi-Fi Cloud Camera KC100.

Both products were selected for their exceptional aesthetic design and intuitive functionality.

Representatives from the networking products provider will attend a formal ceremony on March 10th at the BMW Welt in Munich, Germany.

‘Shining example’

Andy Chen, director of international business at TP-Link, said: "We are humbled to receive two iF Design Awards this year and we thank the committee for their careful consideration and tireless effort.

“We diligently pursue a vision of giving users simple, intuitive and empowering tools that make today's connected life easier. The Archer C5400 is a shining example of this vision, and we accept this honour to encourage us with renewed passion and drive.”

The Archer C5400 is capable of delivering unprecedented online speed and stability, with 802.11ac tri-band Wi-Fi serving up to 5,400 Mbps across one 1,000 Mbps 2.4GHz band and two 2,167 Mbps 5GHz bands.

Aesthetically, the router achieves symmetry from every angle with eight powerful antennas pointing straight up for optimal transmission. Its compact and understated design means it boasts a smaller footprint than other routers of similar performance and allows discreet storage.

“Within the home, the Archer C5400 expresses technical prowess within a simple, subtle design,” a statement from TP-Link added.
