TP-Link has introduced a new outdoor Wi-Fi access point, aimed at extending reliable wireless internet to open spaces.
Following the wider use of smartphones and tablets outdoors, the Auranet EAP110-Outdoor was developed to add another option for enabling fast and dependable Wi-Fi in the garden or by the pool.
TP-Link says the EAP110-Outdoor supports Wi-Fi speeds of up to 300Mbps on 2.4GHz to let users email, stream and browse online.
The access point comes with two high-gain omni-directional antennas, so that a network can reach distances of up to 200 metres with 360-degree coverage.
Setup is straightforward and the access point can be installed virtually anywhere, coming with an easy-mounting chassis that lets it be fixed to any wall or pole, while passive Power over Ethernet widens the options of where it can be installed without having to worry about power supply cables.
The access point includes 2×2 MIMO to support more data transmission and reception for a stable connection to everyone.
Naturally being an outdoor device, the EAP110-Outdoor is said to be water-, dust- and weatherproof and designed to withstand electrical storms, 6kV lightning and sudden thunderstorms.
The inclusion of TP-Link’s intuitive and free Auranet Controller Software also means users can easily manage hundreds of EAPs.

The Auranet EAP110-Outdoor is available now at £79.99 RRP.
