Unite Hawk-i3 Kit

This new innovative ‘out of the box’ Hawk-i³ kit is a simple, easy to install, cost effective solution, specifically designed for retrofit purposes in legacy data centres for two cabinet installations.

Ideal for legacy and retrofit data centres, the ‘out of box’ Hawk-i³ solution provides ‘non-invasive’, real-time current monitoring functionality to typical non-intelligent data centre power supply feeds rated up to 32A and can be used to bring monitoring functionality to non-intelligent power strips.

Supplied, in addition to the ‘non-invasive’ CL-Amp monitoring technology, is the ability to manage environmental parameters for temperature, humidity and optional open/close digital contacts via the Hawk-i³ device. The Hawk-i³ device comes standard as part of the ‘out of the box’ solution to provide both local and remote monitoring, supporting up to four CL-Amps and six analogue sensors. The Hawk-i³, as an SNMP agent optimised for rack management, polls the CL-Amp and sensors at configurable intervals and captures the associated current and environmental data readings.

A simple client software application, known as Env-U2, included as part of the ‘out of box’ solution, then polls the Hawk-i³, capturing the data to provide both a live and historical view of the parameters monitored, in addition to providing simple trending information and enabling the basic creation of management reports.

‘Out of the Box’ Solution consists of:

• 4 x CL-Amp devices.
• 4 x sets of cable collars supplied to support: 8mm to 18mm diameter cables.
• 1 x Hawk-i³ device.
• 2 x Temperature sensors.
• 1 x Humidity sensor
• 3 x spare sensor ports for any combination of humidity, temperature and open/close digital contacts. These additional sensors can be retrofit at any time.
• 1 x CD copy of Env-U2, a client based application.
• 1 x set of 2m interconnecting patch cables from the CL-Amp to the Hawk-i³.
