The WG511 wireless network card operates at up to 54 Mbps, 5 times faster than existing 802.11b, 11 Mbps wireless networks. This versatile wireless network card offers laptop users access to corporate resources, email and the Internet no matter where you are – at home, at the office or in other public areas with a wireless connection.

Safe & Secure
NETGEAR’s WG511 provides both WEP and WPA-PSK (WPA-PSK available via firmware upgrade) wireless encryption standards to protect your network from eavesdroppers and bandwidth pinchers. To be ultimately secure you can limit access from your wireless router to designated computers using their unique ID, called a MAC address.

Easy to Use
The WG511 simply slides into the PCMCIA slot on the side or back of your laptop or notebook computer. Set-up is made quick and easy with NETGEAR’s Smart Wizard Install assistant: The WG511 selects the best available connection and adapts its settings to match. NETGEAR’s Smart Wizard user interface makes it easy to adjust the settings of your adapter: e.g. adding wireless security settings or scanning for a local wireless network.
