The GSM7212 delivers Gigabit performance and a full set of Layer 2 networking management features at an affordable cost. With increasing requirements from applications such as video, voice, database management and other services that slow throughput and response time Gigabit networking speed is needed. The GSM7212 provides maximum throughout to high performance users or as a backbone in a Fast Ethernet (10/100) network.

Layer 2 management features include (but not limited to!): Extensive VLAN support, resiliency, traffic prioritisation, port trunking, QoS (Quality of Service) for Voice Over IP Services (VoIP), port mirroring, RADIUS, SNMP, RMON and DHCP.

The GSM7212 is also easy to troubleshoot – built in testing capability locates cable related network problems.
