The FS726TP smart network switch is ideally matched to any growing business that needs to add basic management control and easily deploy wireless or surveillance devices using Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Key Features
Power over Ethernet (PoE) Connectivity
12 of the 24 ports available with the FS726TP Fast smart switch can be utilised to supply Power over Ethernet (PoE), using the industry standard IEEE 802.3af. With PoE your business can easily deploy wireless access points, IP-based surveillance cameras and VoIP telephones. PoE enables you to position these devices on a ceiling or high up on a wall, typically away from most electrical sockets. This ability to be able to place devices anywhere, even where AC power is not available or difficult to install, significantly lowers deployment costs. With PoE electricians and extension reels are not required
Smart Management at an Affordable Price
NETGEAR ensures that every computer, laptop or console user connected to your wireless network can work and play safely. The RangeMax Wireless Access Point offers, WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption and WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access, Pre-Shared Key) security features to prevent intruders from accessing your home network. Wireless MAC address authentication enables you to limit access to authorised computers (users), securely locking down your network.
Switching Connectivity
As well as the 24 Fast Ethernet ports, the FS726TP Fast smart network switch features 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, each capable of powering 2000 Mbps of data throughput in full duplex mode. These 2 Gigabit ports are ideal for connectivity to demanding users or servers. The two optional fiber ports** enable secure, long distance connections. As fiber connections are far less prone to interference than standard Ethernet cables, communications to the network’s backbone or servers are better protected.
As with all NETGEAR switches, the FS726TP smart switch features Auto Uplink™ technology, which automatically adjusts for different Ethernet cables. The FS726TP is standards based for easy integration of Ethernet (10 Mbps), Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps).
