    ProCurve Switch 5400zl series is ideal for early majority adopters of advanced technology who are feature-driven, primarily in the areas of security, mobility, and convergence. Designed to be deployed at the edge of the LAN, the 5400 series consists of advanced Layer 2/3/4 switches that embody the Adaptive EDGE Architecture, where intelligence and decisions are made at the edge of the network and effective control is provided from the center. With a 10/100/1000Base-T interface, integrated PoE, 10-GbE capability, and chassis and stackable form factors, the 5400 switches offer scalability and ease of deployment, operation, and maintenance for any network environment. While the competitors (Cisco, 3Com, Extreme, and Foundry) ask customers to compromise with different levels of pricing, performance (10/100 vs. Gigabit), technology (PoE vs. non-PoE), and investment protection (10-GbE capability), the 5400 series offers excellent flexibility and investment protection.

    • Pre-standard PoE support: detects and provides power to pre-standard PoE devices
    • Jumbo frames: on Gigabit and 10-Gigabit ports, allow high-performance remote backup and disaster-recovery services
