Rack-Mountable Managed Gigabit Switching
For copper-wired Ethernet networks needing Gigabit switching performance without complexity and high price, the 3Com® SuperStack® 3 Switch 3812 is an innovative yet practical solution. Whether to support a high-bandwidth workplace environment, or to begin a gradual migration to higher speeds for your desktops, the economical Switch 3812 is the device to consider.
This 12-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch combines wirespeed Layer 2 switching with easy installation and exceptional reliability, backed by 3Com's Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty. Twelve auto-sensing 10/100/1000 copper ports provide flexible desktop and workgroup attachments, which can ease migration for environments with a mix of 10/100 and Gigabit-enabled desktops and servers. Four dual-purpose slots support SFPs that can connect to fiber cabling for flexible Gigabit Ethernet backbone and server connections.
Resiliency features such as IEEE 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol and IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation (LACP) help ensure uptime and availability.
Enterprise-class security features include IEEE 802.1X network login, SSH/SSL encrypted device log-in, and access control lists.
For a scalable, stackable, future-proof Gigabit switching solution incorporating all of the above features, with enhanced security features. the SuperStack 3 Switch 3870 24-Port or 48-Port is recommended.
