Belden introduces network tool - Network Accessories

Belden has introduced a new network tool that will help businesses get the maximum network visibility through state-of-the-art software.

Hirschmann Industrial HiVision v4.0 is the firm's latest offering, promising diagnostics of end devices and network components whilst they are in operation.

One of the software's main qualities is that it can configure multiple devices simultaneously, while even third-party products can be integrated.

Mark Cooksley, product manager for network management at Belden, said: "Compared to office networks, industrial networks require more peremptory monitoring, because they are subject to higher levels of stress from environmental conditions. Network availability is a key factor for industrial processes.

"Here, Hirschmann Industrial HiVision is an essential tool, because it is specifically designed for effective industrial network supervision."

As well as tools, Belden manufactures a wide range of networking solutions, including cables and signal transmission products.

The firm recently introduced the ruggedised DataTuff cat6 and cat5e cables, which are aimed at the electrical substation market.
