Tripp Lite has added two new models to its Rackmount Console KVM switch range.
The B070-016-19-IP and B070-016-19 KVM devices, which can be wired up using Cat5 cables combine a 19-inch monitor, keyboard, mouse and 16-port KVM switch in a one-unit server rack mountable case.
David Posner, Tripp Lite cables and connectivity product manager, said: "For enterprise businesses, efficient server management is a critical function."
"Server problems can have an adverse - and expensive - impact on productivity. These new B070-series KVM Switches give enterprise IT managers a simple, flexible, space-saving server management solution with greatly simplified cable management plus the option of IP capability," he added.
The new devices use Tripp Lite's USB or PS/2 interface and can manage servers over standard Cat5 or Cat6 cables at distances of up to 100 feet.
It is also possible to control up to 256 servers by cascading the switches and each one can be set up to offer multi-level password security.
Earlier this year, Tripp Lite introduced a new range of remotely monitored power distribution units.
