Raritan introduces new KVM switches - Value Switches A new range of keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) switches has been introduced by network equipment manufacturer Raritan.

The company is targeting small and medium-sized server room and data centre customers with the new product.

Raritan's TMCAT17 LCD KVM switch incorporates a 17-inch industrial display and can be used to control multiple servers from a single console.

According to the firm, the new device gives network administrators greater flexibility when it comes to operating and maintaining server rack mounted IT infrastructure.

Raritan's product manager Hugo Lin said: "The eight-port and 16-port TMCAT17 models are the perfect solutions for affordable, centralised management of multi-platform servers."

The new device is supplied with fixed-length Cat5 cables, which can be used to connect servers within 20 feet of the switch.

Advantech's Industrial Automation Group recently unveiled a new range of Ethernet switches which can operate in a wide range of conditions, including temperatures from -40 to 75 degrees C.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19388195-ADNFCR
