Network equipment manufacturer Ortronics has introduced new Cat6A shielded patch panels.
The new keystone jack devices promise to provide Cat6 cable compatible performance and they are server rack mountable with a rugged cast-encased, rear-loading design which offers tool-less termination.
According to the company, the installer-friendly wire lacing technology included in the device simplifies deployment.
The new products are available in either flat or angled configurations with either 24 and 48 ports and the patch panels are supplied with reusable keystone FTP jacks.
In a statement the company said: "The rugged die cast metal construction of the panels creates an integral shield and provides 360-degree coverage, while a supplied cable clamp enables fast, secure and reliable shield/ground wire connections."
Ortronics is a leading figure in commercial Cat5e and Cat6 cabling and also deals with fibre optic leads, 10Gbit Ethernet solutions and wireless routers – all designed for high-capacity, mission critical structured cabling systems.
