D-Link Canada ships new network switch

D-Link Canada ships new network switchEnd-to-end networking solutions provider D-Link Canada has begun shipping a new Power over Ethernet (PoE) network switch.

The xStack DGS-3426P is designed for use by small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) looking to expand their network connections and serve hard-to-reach locations.

It can operate as a stand-alone device or as part of a scalable stack thanks to D-Link's single IP management capability, which allows up to 32 devices to be managed under one IP.

Jerry Balice, vice-president of technology at D-Link, said: "The xStack DGS-3426P delivers performance, flexibility, security, multi-layer quality of service, PoE conveniences and redundant power options that are ideal for SMEs or any growing business."

The switch also boasts numerous security features to prevent worm propagation, IP spoofing and illegal DHCP servers, including L2/L3/L4 multi-layer access control lists.

Last month D-Link Canada signed an agreement with D&H Canada which will see the consumer electronics distributor offer the full line of D-Link networking and connectivity solutions throughout Canada.
