Aten International has revealed two new eight and 16-port PS/2-USB KVMP solutions for controlling up to eight or 16 directly connected servers.
The switches feature dual interface functionality which supports PS/2 or USB keyboards and mice for servers and consoles.
In addition, the rack-mountable 1U devices come with a front USB port for connecting peripherals, meaning each computer directly linked to the CS1708A and CS1716 switches can share any peripheral connected to the switch one-at-a-time.
A two-level password security system means only authorised users to view and control servers, while up to four users and the administrator can be provided with separate access profiles.
Kevin Chen, president of Aten International said: "Users can conveniently select servers for management via front panel pushbuttons and intuitive on screen display menus, which do not require any additional software installation."
Meanwhile, German manufacturer Gunter and Drunck recently revealed KVM extenders and switches at the IBC exhibition in Amsterdam.
