Netgear has expanded its ProSafe Gigabit Smart Switches range with three additions designed to increase security, enhanced traffic management and availability.
The new Netgear switches are aimed at small and medium-size businesses and are said to aid users in maintaining and growing network infrastructures to support advanced applications.
With the new 24 and 48-port Netgear ProSafe Gigabit Smart switches operators can improve the efficiency of their network infrastructures, while the Advanced Smart Switch will provide firms with a cheaper alternative to fully-managed switches.
This is the view of Armand Steffens, Netgear business development manager at Duxbury Networking, who adds the products support a range of applications.
"Easily managed through an intuitive, web-based GUI, users can save time and resources as well as gain more control over the network while supporting advanced applications," he said.
In other news, the company has launched a family of wireless-N networking solutions, making it simpler for consumers to enjoy better network performance and security.
