Networking vendor HP ProCurve is offering twice the usual rebate to customers trading in network switches from other manufacturers, it has been reported.According to channelweb.co.uk, consumers swapping a switch for one of ProCurve's gigabit switches will be rewarded with a double rebate payment into their bank accounts.
Customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa whose countries operate a trade-in programme have two months to exploit the offer.
The transactions can be carried out on the company's website while the vendor will also collect and recycle all equipment at no extra cost, the website claims.
Stephen Rommel, ProCurve's business development manager, told the news provider the organisation is aiming to provide firms with high-speed internet.
"This promotion is part of HP ProCurve's strategy to provide small and medium businesses with an upgrade path to Gigabit Ethernet, enabling them to use high-bandwidth applications such as graphical data, video streams and data storage," he said.
In other news, the company announced it has expanded its 2510 series of switches to include the 2510G-24 and 2510G-48 solutions which will be available in Australia and New Zealand.
