HP debuts switching solution down underHP ProCurve Networking has announced the expansion of its ProCurve 2510 series of switches.

Designed with both high performance and affordability in mind, the 2510G-24 and 2510G-48 switching solutions are geared towards small firms with less than 50 workers.

The gigabit Ethernet ports cost AU$1,149 (£542) and AU$2,093 respectively and will be available to businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

Both products contain four modular dual-personality ports, with the difference being that the 2510G-48 44 fixed 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, as opposed to 20.

Commenting on the new switches, HP's Gurkirat Singh remarked: "They are quick and simple to install, affordable, and have ProCurve's legendary lifetime next business day replacement warranty."

The 2510G should help small firms to grow more easily, the South Pacific country manager added.

HP ProCurve Networking specialises in building network solutions for companies and is the second-largest Ethernet supplier - and the fastest growing - in the international market.
