Fujitsu has unveiled a new range of Ethernet switches which are said to offer decreased delay.
A new range of Ethernet switches which are said to provide improved throughput and decreased delay have been launched by Fujitsu.
The Japanese computer products supplier has confirmed that a new series of 24 and 48-port switches will expand its range and help integration into ten gigabyte Ethernet technology (10 Gbe).
Jim Preasmyer, director of sales and business development at Fujitsu said that the products offer "a low-cost upgrade path to full 10 Gbe networking".
The products will feature an auto-sensing Ethernet cable with four ports of small form-factor pluggable optics.
Depending on the model, the switch will also include open slots for one or two open slots for 10 Gbe uplink cards.
Fujitsu says the low-power and high form factor means the products can easily be integrated into existing systems.
According to its website, Fujitsu is currently the fourth largest IT services provider and the leading supplier in Japan.
