Foundry Networks chosen by Sanderson Weatherall

Foundry Networks chosen by Sanderson WeatherallEnd-to-end switching and routing company Foundry Networks has revealed Sanderson Weatherall – a firm of chartered surveyors – has deployed its switches.

Sanderson Weatherall has deployed its FastIron SX 1600 and FastIron GS684 PoE switches to form part of its LAN upgrade in the north-east.

The company is a chartered surveyors and property consulting and deals with the public and private sectors in Britain.

It set out to replace its LAN switches because of its large workforce which is mostly split between Newcastle and Teeside.

Head of IT at Sanderson Weatherall Adrian Rich said: "We needed to replace our LAN switches in Newcastle and Tyneside where the majority of our employees work.

"We chose to work with Foundry because of its straightforward 'does-what-it-says-on-the-switch' attitude towards networking."

He said it was particularly important for the company to choose LAN switches that could provide QoS for voice and data, while being able to deal with high volumes of network traffic.
