ESL introduces DIN rail mounted switch - Switches
The Model 9074 RJ45 A/B/OFFLINE Cat 5e Compliant Switch from ESL is designed for use in process control systems and offers firms the ability to share one RJ45 device with two others.
It sports a manually operated keylock switch which requires no external power and can be "easily integrated" into existing process control systems.
The M9074 switches all eight leads in the RJ45 interface with the single turn of a key.
Recently, Extreme Networks launched a new energy-efficient version of its Summit X650 10GBASE-T switch.
The company claims the upgraded device offers users a 200W reduction in power consumption compared with the previous model and achieves the cut with the help of chip manufacturer Intel's low power 10GBASE-T adapter.
It sports standard RJ45 adapters and is compatible with both Cat5 and Cat6 leads.
