A Cisco Industry Solution Partner has announced new support for 29West's Messaging on Cisco InfiniBand Server Fabric Switch solutions.
The new solution will enable higher performance levels and 29West's low-latency messaging technology.
Commenting on the new technology, Mark Mahowald, president and founder of 29West, said: "As latency and stability under load become more and more critical, we are seeing continued growth in the market for our Latency Busters Messaging (LBM) and Ultra Messaging for the Enterprise (UME) products."
He added that there has been a move toward higher performance data delivery, which has led to firms and businesses having to rethink the way in which they distribute data.
Bill Erdman, marketing director at the Server Virtualization Business Unit at Cisco, said that the increase in algorithmic trading, as well as regulations such as RegNMS and MiFID mean that firms have had to look for the "highest performing IT infrastructure".
"Cisco is committed to collaborative efforts that provide jointly tested solutions to give our customers the best possible competitive advantages," he said.
