Linksys, a leading global manufacturer of wireless, voice and networking hardware for home and small businesses has revealed its Cisco Business Series 48-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Smart Switch (SLM2048) has come top at a recent performance testing.
The testing was carried out at Miercom Labs and saw the SLM2048 score highest in 48-port Gigabit Ethernet (GE) switches, beating other top manufacturers including Netgear and 3Com.
It was found to bring better performance, lower packet loss and increased throughput when large frames were handled.
The product also performed best in the company's 2008 Smart Switch Industry Study, also being awarded a green certificate for its environmentally-friendly features.
