Cisco has released a range of new wireless products for the IEEE 802.11n fast Wi-Fi, it has been reported.
The firm has unveiled a 48Gbps scalable Cisco catalyst 6500-based wireless local area network controller system, as well as new wired and wireless services courtesy of its Unified Wireless Network Release software.
It has also presented a solution which enables an Aironet 1250 Series to be fully powered from a single ethernet port through the utilisation of its catalyst switches.
Cisco's new line of products have all been tested in tandem with Intel in a bid to ensure increased reliability and that all applications are compatible with Intel devices.
"Ensuring compatibility and performance are foremost in the adoption of next-generation wireless technologies," commented Randy Nickel, director of wireless marketing at Intel's mobile platforms group.
"Cisco and Intel have worked together closely to ensure that adoption of 802.11n technologies is as seamless as possible for enterprise customers."
