Cisco has announced a new range of disaster recovery and security solutions for its network products.
The technology manufacturer unveiled its new Wide-Area Application Services (WASS), which can help reduce bandwidth requirements and data loss across a network.
A WASS Replication Accelerator can also encrypt data and provide assured backups to ensure the minimal amount of data loss on a network.
Jeremy Gill, from Michael Baker Corporation, a firm which has trialled the new solutions, said the new products provide a "greater manageability" and "ease of use for the IT staff".
"The new Cisco WAAS Replication Accelerator mode will allow us to transfer more data between data centres in a shorter periods of time, maximising the use of WAN connections and eliminating the transfer of redundant data across the link for greater business continuity," he added.
