Cisco to showcase new productsNetworking giant Cisco has announced it will showcase its new consumer products and prototypes at this year's International Consumer Electronics Show.

The exhibition takes place between January 7th and 10th at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

With the boom of professional and user-generated video content on the web, products will highlight new visual networking experiences which will bring together streaming digital video technology and social networking applications, Fox News reports.

John Chambers, chairman and CEO at Cisco, said: "Video is the next wave of internet disruption… Cisco is at the forefront of this market transition, providing consumers with more choice, better navigation of content, higher quality video, and faster, more personalised interaction."

Products to be showcased include Cisco's next-generation cable set-top boxes and OpenCable applications.
