Cisco enhances Self-Defending Network solutionCisco has announced a range of improvements across its portfolio which enhance its Self-Defending Network solution, according to reports.

The aim of the enhancements has been to meet demand from customers' increasing IT risk management needs.

The improvements strengthen the protection of the networks and the rising number of applications, endpoints and content which utilises them.

It will also enable businesses to protect their IT infrastructures for malware and cut the risk of data loss prevention.

Scott Weiss, vice president and general manager of the Security Technology Group at Cisco, said: "Cisco security leads the industry because we are able to offer our customers solutions that include best-of-breed technologies that go beyond point products and work as a complete system.
