A mortgage brokerage firm in the US is seeing the benefits of enhancing its WAN speeds through 3Com's Multi-Service Routers and Expand Networks acceleration modules.
Brian Beaman, director of IT at LSI Mortgage Plus, claims the firm's new measures have seen an improvement of between 30 per cent and 40 per cent in sending data to and from offices in Atlanta and St Louis, Computerworld reports.
Mr Beaman also pointed out his company has witnessed a 400 per cent enhancement over throughput by switching off Microsoft Terminal Services optimisation tools and using the 3Com and Expand technology.
He told the news provider his faith in 3Com remains unshaken despite some difficult periods in the organisation's recent history.
"The way I look at it is that 3Com helped bring Ethernet to the forefront, and I look at a 20-year history and not a two-year history. If I thought 3Com would go away, I couldn't have picked them," Mr Beaman said.
In other news, 3Com recently announced it has completed the upgrade of Samsung Everland's audio transmission network in Manila, Hardware Zone reports.
