A new channel initiative has been launched by 3Com to support its resellers supplying ICT to public sector customers in the EMEA region, according to reports.
The initiative, called Sustain, will help resellers provide customers in the public sector with 3Com's end-to-end networking solutions.
It will also provide support services by adding a six per cent discount on the networking company's products.
Hamed Diab, general manager, 3Com Middle East, said: "The Sustain program addresses some of the barriers to public sector marketplace entry like price sensitivity.
"3Com's open, standards-based secure converged networking solutions lead the market in price/performance, and deliver premium availability, reliability and manageability.
"They are ideally suited to the needs of public sector organisations such as government and education where there is great pressure to reduce costs and cut spend in all areas. The availability of an additional six percentdiscount makes 3Com networking solutions even more attractive in a price-competitive marketplace."
