Belden has added two new devices to its Ethernet Managed Switch range.
The RS22 and RS32 gigbit compatible devices form part of the network equipment manufacturer's OpenRail Switch product line and are available with fast Ethernet ports, four of which support power over Ethernet.
According to the firm, the ports can be designated as RJ45connectors and can be used for fibre optic leads or standard copper cabling.
"Fan-less cooling and an optional redundant voltage supply provide high operational safety. Upon request, the circuit boards are available with a conformal coating for protection against condensation," the company claimed.
The switches can be operated through a standard web browser and also sport an integrated SNMP interface that can be synced with a number of network management applications.
Belden recently announced that it plans to release its third-quarter results on October 28th.
The results will be discussed during a conference call between the firm's management, which will be broadcast live on the internet.
