Strong growth rates are predicted to materialise in the structured cabling markets in the US and Canada over the course of the next five years, according to research.
Cabling Networking Systems reports that the latest study from FTM Consulting has estimated that the structured cabling systems market in the US could improve by 13.1 per cent by 2015.
Meanwhile, Canada is also expected to bounce back after the economic recession impacted upon the growth of numerous products in the market worldwide by witnessing an escalation of just over ten per cent.
Frank Murawski, president of FTM Consulting, feels that suppliers need to do their research in an attempt to discover the biggest markets for their structured cabling products, with VOIP applications potentially being of particular importance.
He said: "The analysis indicates that VoIP applications will be vital for the UTP cabling suppliers, while data centre applications will offer the largest growth market for fibre cabling systems providers."
Earlier this year, research by Global Industry Analysis suggested that China and India would be key players in the structured cabling market by 2015.
