Tyco releases new Cat5e trunk leads - Structured Cabling

Tyco Electronics has introduced new Cat5e Cable trunk leads, designed for high data-rate Ethernet and xDSL applications in the telecommunications and data communications industries, into its Madison Cable range.

Offering users Trunking solutions for whatever their needs, the cables fit industry standard connectors and are highly customisable, promising easy handling.

The company claims that the reduced diameter of the wires also enables better routing between Data Cabinets, while a lower weight improves airflow within cabinets.

Coming in both shielded and unshielded varieties, the cables can be customised for different applications because of the range of pair-counts and wire gauges available. Non-halogen and outdoor versions are also available.

Earlier this month Windstream introduced the Dynamic Office SIP package, a trunking solution aimed at giving businesses high-speed voice and data communications at relatively little cost.

Windstream is seeking to take advantage of the need for business users to have access to high-speed online networking solutions over a single connection.
