Principality Building Society has completed an enhancement of its telephony services in a deal with Virgin Media subsidiary ntl:Telewest Business.
The society's cabling infrastructure project has resulted in the transition of more than 1,200 direct dial numbers at its headquarters onto its network, as well as numbers from 70 branches across the country.
New telephone and internet services have also been provided to Principality's Peter Alan estate agency chain.
"Telecoms is a vital asset that allows us to continue to deliver better service and services to our customers," said John Williams, IT director at Principality Building Society.
He added that ntl:Telewest Business had the ability to tackle the complex project and deliver the networking equipment programme on time.
ntl:Telewest Business has been selected by the University of Ulster to provide it with a high-speed next-generation network which will link the institutions four campus sites across Northern Ireland.
It will provide the university with one gigabit Metro Ethernet VPN which will service more than 26,000 students.
