A new range of patch panels offering a "highly versatile solution for optical splicing and patching" has been launched by network cables manufacturer Brand-Rex.
The FibrePlus range offers a high density of fibre optic connections per unit of space, which according to Brand-Rex makes them ideal for use in crowded data centres.
Because of their shallow depth they can be installed within most standard data and server racks and wall mounted data cabinets, the company adds.
The front face of each panel includes a port identification strip and management of fibre leads is made easy thanks to a quick release sliding tray.
Brand-Rex states: "The integrated design features ensure that even once installed the panel can be readily re-configured to accommodate the changing needs of today's high speed networks."
As well as the Fibre-Plus range, Brand-Rex has also launched a series of coloured coded patch panels which allows for quick and easy identification of ports.
