Brand-Rex has launched a new range of one and two unit patch panels, which it claims improve data centre airflow.
The company states that its new Cat6plus patch panel allows for the termination of up to 48 Cat6 cables in a single unit and offers improved performance over previous models.
Mountable in server racks and server cabinets, the panels are shorter than conventional patching hardware and are aimed at the small telecoms market.
As well as offering Cat6 cable performance, the devices are backward compatible with the Cat5e standard.
The panels are available in both screened and unscreened versions and have an innovative cable management system, which Brand-Rex claims provides easy routing capabilities alongside strain relief for high-performance cabling.
Last month, Extreme Networks' summit x650 switch was voted the best data centre product of the year at the Network Computing Awards in London.
Brand-Rex was among other firms, such as Cisco, IBM and Aruba, commended for their products at the ceremony.
