CommScope has unveiled a new fibre optic solution for data centres that will help them optimise costs and space.
The Systimax 360 UHD fibre optic solution includes patch panels and fibre optic cables and can support 864 fibres in a 1U space.
This means server cabinet space be saved, expanding the possibilities for networking architecture.
A number of the versions are available, from between 1U and 4U while a number of shelf options are also possible.
George Brooks, vice president of data centre at CommScope Enterprise Solutions, said: "The Systimax 360 UHD solution enables storage growth to support the explosion of network information, allows for future growth with its modular design, and provides a clear upgrade path for 10G, 40G and 100G applications.
"The complete solution makes the design, implementation and management of new, innovative ultra-high density data centre architectures possible."
Black Box recently received recognition for its SpaceGAIN patch panels which, because they tilt at a 45-degree angle, can reduce strain relief and save IT professionals valuable time and money.
