New cabling jacks from Suyin Corporation - Structure Cabling

New cabling jacks from Suyin Corporation - Structure Cabling Network equipment manufacturer Belkin has boosted the rate at which data can be transferred using powerline networking.

Its new Powerline HD kits have increased transfer rates from 200Mbps to 1Gbps.

The new tool allows both commercial and residential customers to create a network over standard electrical wiring.

Belkin's Powerline HD kit uses Gigle Semiconductor's Mediaxtream chip, which helps users achieve a secure and reliable network connection from at any point in a local circuit.

The company claims the device is suitable for the growing number of people watching video or gaming online.

The kit consists of two adaptors which can be plugged into any wall socket. A standard RJ45 cable can then be used to connect the adaptors to a router, PC or other networkable device.

Meanwhile, Netgear has created a new range of digital switches which are compatible with both gigabit Ethernet and power over Ethernet.

Netgear claims the ProSafe Advanced Gigabit Smart Switch allows for the easy integration of networkable devices – such as VoIP phones.ADNFCR-1186-ID-19258472-ADNFCR
