Legrand releases new self-terminating jack - Structure Cabling

Legrand releases new self-terminating jack - Structure CablingLegrand has released a new self-terminating keystone Cat6A jack, designed for workstation appliances.

The rear-loading FTP unit has a fast and easy tool-less termination process that saves installation time and a zinc alloy shielded housing means that it has 360 degree coverage.

By having a closed jack housing, lacing caps can be capped onto the insulation displacement contacts, with the result that all four of the cable pairs can be terminated at the same time.

The product is compatible with all TechChoice plates and supports the T568A/B wiring scheme.

Based in Connecticut, Legrand manufactures Cat5e, 6 and 10 connectivity solutions in copper and fibre. It employs 33,000 people worldwide and invests between four and five per cent of its sales income back into research and development.

Last year the company, also known as Ortronics, created 'layer zero' solutions that sit under the existing structured cabling infrastructures, helping improve network equipment airflow and in turn keeping costs down.
