Belden has unveiled its new range of ruggedised networking solutions, aimed at the electrical substation market.
The line of ethernet switches and network cables are designed to withstand the severe environmental hazards they will be exposed to once deployed.
Among the products are the company's DataTuff cat6 and cat5e cables, as well as Hirschmann switches and FiberExpress fibre cables.
Brian Lieser, director of global vertical marketing at Belden, explained how the company is using its abilities to cater to a variety of industries.

Superior Essex recently introduced a new line of cat5e cables, offering superior crosstalk performance as well as compatibility with installation at temperatures as low as -20 C.
