International cabling firm Wireworks has unveiled a new audio-visual networking solution at the GV Expo.
The AV2000 MultiMedia Cabling System offers users robust and secure connections and the company claims it is suitable for a wide range of fixed and mobile networking installations.
Wireworks' new technology is the only system of its kind that uses a multi-pin connector to accommodate audio, video and high definition data over a standard Cat6 cable.
The firm claims that the single connector simplifies set up and eliminates the need to make individual connections.
"AV2000 provides the solution to the clutter and confusion associated with multiple connector panels through one simple, reliable interconnect," said Gerald Krulewicz, president of Wireworks.
He added: "Wireworks is proud to have the only proven product on the market that can achieve this customized solution."
Recently, Alcatel-Lucent proved that standard telephone cabling can be used for the transmission of high-definition data up to speeds of 70Mbps.
