New high-speed Cat6a cable from Swiss firm - Cable Swiss firm Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) has launched a new Cat6a cabling range which complies with the ISO/IEC Class EA standard.

The 10Gbps Ethernet cable uses that Cat6a standard copper twisted pair technology and is suitable for a number of high-performance network solutions, including use in data centres.

Martin Reichle, CEO, R&M said: "ISO/IEC Class EA offers the highest performance available using RJ45 technology, which translates to higher operational reliability that minimizes errors.

"In addition, the life of the cabling infrastructure is also maximised."

Meanwhile, R&M's president for the Asia-Pacific region Laurent Amestoy said the company is performing well despite the ongoing global economic downturn and believes it is well positioned for a rapid recovery that will outstrip the market average.

In July of this year, R&M's Middle East and Africa managing director Jean Pierre Labry said that Cat6a cabling was the key to firms that need greater reliability during data transmission over their networks. ADNFCR-1186-ID-19476522-ADNFCR
